[:D]I Just had my VO2 max assesment today at swimfortri!!

has anyone else had a VO2 test?

I had mine on the bike my max HR was 180 and 190 on run.

my lactate threshold is 141 on bike, 150 on run!

and my VO2 max is 74!![:D][:D][:D]

which aint bad, I pretty chuffed with that result!

  • Scott,

Being new to the sport is the assesment good for a new fanatic to the sport ?? Also how long does the assesment last and what does this entail ?? I looking for anything that is going to improve my training and help me lose those few xtra pounds.

VO2 for TRI would be perfect as i only live on london bridge!

Yeah its great for anyone! especially just starting.

beacause you will be able to record your fitness from now, just starting out, to a couple of months or years down the line! you will see a big improvment !

mine lasted two hours, and peter, the bloke who does it at swim4tri is great. he's freindly and really good at explaining things.

He can tell you the excact amount of daily calories you need to take in, to loose weight or gain wieght!

you will only be on the bike or a tredmill for 15 minutes.

and basically start of easy and gradually gets hard untill you hit your max effort.

it explains more on thier site!

    its worth doing.

because now instead of just going for a run, I now go for a run for a certain time at a certain heart rate pace. and I know what its improving!
