Hi,
I'd welcome any advice as to a good half IM for a first timer in 2008. And by good, I guess I mean flat, if not short! I was looking at Antwerp, but it seems like there are a lot of pros with associated prize money, and I thought this might make it more expensive, but I don't know if there are ever any more amateur half IM.
Cheers,
Tim

The Lost Sheep is a good one, it's not flat though!. Sep 1 Kenmare, Co. Kerry, Ireland.
I've done the Cow Man two years running and have very much enjoyed the low key nature of the event. Its not totally flat, but nothing is ever going to be that flat unless its really boring, but with just over 200 competitors, it never gets crowded, but there are plenty of people around to challenge yourself.
Good luck with the training.
