A Good Set Of Wheels

I've got a Cube road bike at the mo and cant really afford a decent tt bike.Its got easton wheels on at the mo and to upgrade i was thinking of buying a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbonne.Will there be a noticeable difference in my average speed times or will oi be better off saving up £3000 to buy a nice new carbon tt bike.P S i do use clip on tri bars.

    fancy wheels really don't bring that much...it has been shown several times in magazines, that they really only offer about 2-4secs per km in saving....so for an olympic it might make u three minutes faster....a lot to some, insignificant to others..
    The best reason to get fancy wheels is they look cool!
    A well fitting aero helmet and tight aero clothing will bring time savings than the wheels.
    Better again is probably coaching and a good bike fit....

    but despite all that, I am gonna buy some nice wheels soon, 'cos they look cool!

    Yes mate looking cool is the way forward so worth buying just for that alone

    If your on a budget and want a good looking set of deep section Rims go for the Planet X 82 / 101's
    £400, an absolute bargain !
