Hello everyone, i have been given the option of a new bike for my birthday ( the big 40) and after alot of searching i am more confused than before. One thing i know is that it will be a road bike , upto about £1300 , any recomendations or reviews of current rides would be great.

Their is a ton of bikes for that price but all with flaws, though these are worth a upgrade
if you can wait get a autumn sale bike
like james says - loads of bikes out there at that price point. personally, i'd go to a good local bike shop (even if it means travelling a little way to get to it!) and spend some time with them working out what sort of riding you are planning to do, what your flexibility is, few different geometries etc.
