DEVA Triathlon

Has anyone done the Deva (chester) triathlon?
Looking for a new olympic event in june as got commitments for the ones I originally wanted to do!!!!

I'm in Chester Tri so I would say this, but it's a good race

The swim is in the River Dee, upstream first, so a nice helping hand from the river for the second half.

The bike is quick. Mostly flat with one big hill and a slightly bumpy bit in the middle. One of the worst parts was the poor state of the tarmac on Rake Lane (for those that know it). This has now apparently been resurfaced and is now lovely!

The run is two laps. There's a bit through the main city park which is a bit wierd as you'll run past the usual Sunday morning dog walkers etc in the park.

Most importantly it's run by triathletes, for triathletes, you will be made very welcome. It's also £50BTF/£55 non BTF so a fair bit cheaper than a lot of races too.

I've done it was well organised, really friendly all round a good sized event to do.

Also got my PB on the course.
