Situated on the Norfolk Broads, Fritton Lake Triathlon offers three races. Whether you are thinking of taking part in your first triathlon, or whether you are a seasoned triathlete, Fritton Lake Triathlon caters for you!

Race information:
Super Sprint: 400m Swim/ 14km Bike/ 2.5km Run
Date: Saturday 11th June 2011
Start time: 8:30am
Total Places- 250
Sprint Distance: 750m Swim/ 20km Bike/ 5km Run
Date: Saturday 11th June 2011
Start time: 3:00pm
Total Places-200
**The winner of this event will be declared the Regional Sprint Champion for 2011**
Olympic Distance: 1500m Swim/ 40km Bike / 10km Run
Date: Sunday 12th June 2011
Start Time: 8:30am
Total Places- 300
Olympic Relay: Teams of 3 people each completing one of the disciplines (Olympic Distance)
Course Details: All three races take in the beautiful aspects provided by Fritton Lake and the surrounding area, including an open water swim followed by a cycle leg along the public roads around the Somerleyton Hall Estate. Once completing the bike course the sprint races consist of a one lap (2.5km) or a two lap (5km) run, following marked trails around the country park while the Olympic distance run follows a cross country route around the lake through acres of natural woodland. and the surrounding area.

If you are travelling from afar or are making a weekend out of this event accommodation is available from Fritton House Hotel. The hotel is offered at a discount during this weekend. Inside the house is an informal restaurant and bar with a wide selection of Adnams beers and wines and a seasonal menu and each of the bedrooms is uniquely furnished. Outside there is a spacious terrace with views across the park and an outdoor bar area – look out for special events over the summer.
