Great race day experience. Tough swim conditions, great fast bike course (just too many speed bumps) the run course course was my favourite. Flat, fast and full of spectators. One big concern with the event was why did Ironman charge athletes to use the shuttle service? We have paid for this already and they only released this info in the last couple of week before race day. Overall one of the best races I have done. Thank you Dublin!!!

    I thought the event was good and it was great to be able to go through Dublin city centre traffic free for the first 20km.  I loved the swim in 15C water although the swell made life interesting and the pontoon was impossible to get onto.  BIG thanks to the volunteers/helpers.

    There must have been about 50-60 speed bumps in the course and a couple of people did crash as a result, one I saw was very serious.

    We were lucky with the weather and I would definitely recommend people to sign up for 7th August 2016
