Just completed my first OW swim yesterday in Llyn Padarn by Snowdon organised by Surf Lines.
They charge £5 for the supervised swim and wetsuit and also do other tri related classes over the next couple of months.
Also discovered they sell Orca wetsuits and other tri stuff so a couple of hours round trip to Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham won't be necessary to buy decent tri gear that I can try before I buy.
Really friendly bunch with some good advice. If you're local or in the area give them a look.
As for the OW swim is was great! I'd been told a few horror stories but apart from an icecream head for a few 100 metres it was fine. Took it slow and steady, enjoyed it and have booked up for the next one!
