Parking for London Duathlon

Hi
On a whim I've just entered the London Duathlon, then realised that the on site parking is sold out. I'll be driving down from Cheshire, best place I can find to park so far is an NCP in Richmond, look like a 4 mile ride to the start. Not too bad unless it's raining, any better suggestions ? (other than book early next year !)
