Need lube advice!

This has will have been asked time and time again but I can't find much on it. Can ordinary silicone lube (thought silicone because it isn't water soluble) be used on a wetsuit or does it have to be specifically for wetsuits. I have a triathlon on Sunday and can't find anyone in my area that sells wetsuit specific and don't want to risk ordering online and it not turn up in time. Thank you.
