Ironman following transplant

Hi All

In may 2016 following acute liver failure I was fortunate enough to receive a liver transplant. The cause of my liver failure has never been identified but I was fit and healthy in the January.

Anyway the reason for the post is has anyone else completed an Ironman post Liver or other transplant. I would like to hear how you got on and what your medical team thought of the idea. I must say that my team have so far raised no objections.

I completed a sprint 11 months post transplant and am attempting an Olympic in a couple of weeks. 

The plan going forward is to do Ironman in 2019.

All to promote the benefits of organ donation and encourage more people to sign up to be organ donors and as importantly to have a discussion with their family.
