Appalling Ironman withdrawal policy attitude

Just wanted to share my disgust at Ironman companies policy on withdrawal, I wrote to them explaining my horrendous change in circumstances, I have had heart attack and my wife has been diagnosed with terminal cancer . Yeah I know , lucky isn???t my current nickname. I asked if any chance of a bit more refund than 25% . The answer was of course no chance it???s Against their policy . This is fir Ironman Vichy which is sold out so you wouldn???t think it would hurt to give at least 50% refund. I???m appalled and if I do recover enough it???s certainly last time I ever enter an official Ironman event .
