Talkback: Does Ironman's new qualification system for pros work?

In Argentina this was against an equal womens field, and against the 3rd place female pro finisher. It was for an unequal Pro women vs men field, and for the male 4th place finisher. if IRONMAN wants to grow women's triathlon serious consideration should be given to an all women's race in Kona run separately from the men. This would allow mild expansion of the men's field and dramatic expansion of the women's field. Lots of details to be considered with this including available volunteers. Just a thought. I agree a 1st step could be equal men's & women's pro fields.
