    yeah they're not bad!

I just can't last any longer than 30 mins on turbo trainer tho,

so I just do really hard intervals for bout 20 mins now!

the thing is they can get really boring after watching them a few times. could try buying new ones when you get bored but at 20 pounds a dvd they're not cheap!!!

but yes they do give a good workout for those rainy or really windy days

I'm planning on getting something like Spinervals, cause indeed those turbo's tend to get a little bit boring[sm=rolleyes.gif].

Any other good options than spinervals??

I love them. (How sad am I!)

I have got about five of these. Santa brought me a couple.

The ones where he cycles around the countryside are quite good. If you want a real bitch then Have mercy is smashing.

I was thinking if anyone wats to start swapping around the dvds then I would be up for that.

Ive got "Tough Love" which is a 3 hour workout and "Hardcore 100" which is a 5 1/2 hour workout, used them both a couple of times last year in preparation for Big woody. Would much prefer to be out on the road but they came in handy when we had all that torrential rain.

Well recommended for long distance work.

@Barny: So I'm not the only person who laughed at the idea of using 'Hardcore 100' in preparation for 'Big Woody'. Well done, sir.

On a more serious note: do you guys REALLY sit on a turbo-trainer for 5 1/2 hours at a time? I'm glad I'm sticking to Olympic distance [:)]

And how do these DVDs work? I haven't got a turbo trainer so I don't know how flexible they are... how do these videos control your pace, for example? I'm interested because I'm getting nervous about the fact that I've not even sat on my bike for 3 months and the season is looming. Exercise bikes at the gym are OK, but it's just not the same.
