and bringing this back to reality I present a nicked picture of mine - I will put up and actual shot when it has a saddle again (I was over enthusiastic with the torque wrench and snapped the seat post bolt!)
This is my Cube Aerium HPC (2009). Complete with Dura-Ace 7900, Easton EC90 Aero Wheels! Weighing in at 7.8kg!!!
Pretty damn sexy i reckon.
My other bike is a Orbea Ordu, with Reynolds Assualt wheels, Ultegra throughout (apart from a crank system (105), but upgrading that to a FSA soon. I'll post that below this post too.
Bought the Orbea in a crazy sale, it was 08 stock and got it for £899, for that price i thought "why not?". I use the Orbea for training the majority of the time and then Cube for racing and nice weather training.
My 40km time on the Aerium is around the 58 minute mark.
Bargain of the century!!!! Snapped the guys hand off when he offered it to me. I was only looking for a wetsuit at the time. Although i did spend £399 on the wetsuit.
I might add that my TT time is on a pan flat course and not off the bike. In a tri i'm looking at around the 1hr mark. But i highly reccommend the Cube Aerium HPC and the Orbea Ordu. Both awesome bikes and very comfortable, even after 100 + miles.
I think i am the 1st in the UK to have that particular model of Cube (so the importer said anyway) although they have more coming in shortly.
I think its nice to be different, i see so many Cervelos at races i didn't want to blend in. All i see around Surrey and Richmond are Cervelos with Zipp wheels!!!! Although it looks like Pinerello are making a claim around these parts for the next biggest make.
I also agree with Treefrog, go out and buy the best bike you can afford, why dream of having a nice bike.....make it happen.
Well guys I have just placed my order for my brand new Scott Plasma 10.Here is a taster but ill be sure to post a smutty up close and personal pic when she arrives.

I've read the thread that was supposed to help as well [:@][:@][][:(]
Mate that bike is a dancer( which means i want it).
I am obviously in the wrong job.
How fast can you do at 25m TT on that?!?
Question. Why do you need both bikes? Is one your winter hack???????

OK - he's a question for you, do you have a feel for what sort of time you would to on the £899 (What a bargain!!!) Orbea.
Obviously, any gained time is priceless - but, kind of interesting... e.g.
With the same "engine", it might be:
Level 1: Old MTD - £0.00 - 40K in 2 hours
Level 2: Entry Level road bike - £300 - 40K in 1:30
Level 3: Entry level racing bike - £700 - 40k in 1:15
Level 4: Shiny! - £1500 - 40k in 1:10
Level 5: Blinding!! - £5000 - 40K in 1:07
Or something like that.

Stand alone time. My time for a tri would be slower by a few mins, depending on the course. Around the 1hr mark still though.

All that RED!!!!!
All honour and praise lord Combatdwarf! [image]http://rednas01.mygb.nl/img/hail.gif[/image]
Thankfully you have some Dura-Ace componentry. If it was all SRAM-Red then I'd have to stop looking at the picture otherwise I'd get dehydrated.
I like to call this one the scorpion and its a real stinger!!!!
Please do not drool too much as this bike has allowed me to record some good times. As of yet I have not unleashed it an event.
