The novice, beginner wave is good in theory. I raced the last F3 event last year, and everything was going smoothly until the "elite" bunch stared to come out of trainsition. It's very tight switchback around past transition, and the "elite" didn't care who was coming round, we were in THEIR way... a few crashes occurred.
