Best Watch for tri
I was wondering if you forumites could give me a good idea what would be the best watch to use for triathlon training? I've got a Garmin 205, but am not 100% convinced it's waterproof, and have heard the 405 isn't either.
Nope, your right Garmin 205, 305 and the 405 arent waterproof. However they are awesome bits of kit for data from run and bike. For HR during swimming I use the pool clock, my trusty index and middle finger and my wrist pulse. Some of the polar HR monitors are superb and waterproof, and certainly worth a gander....
I mostly use my middle finger whilst out on the bike..anyhow. I tend to only race in my HRM, as I feel a bit of a fool with the chest strap on in the pool. Ha the fool in the pool.
Britspin - not sure we wanted to know how you passed the hours while out on your bike!!
Personally I use a polar S210 - the dogs dangly bits!
