Best Mountian bike tyres

Hi i have just got my mountain bike and found i need to some new tyres and was wondering what tyres people would recomed for XC and racing

    I have found Michelin and Continental to be the best. Not sure of the model though. On the same topic I have a friend who loves the MTB nad for racing he goes for Maxxis which are light (but possibly not as toughas others)

    I'm not sure there is a best tyre for MTB. There are plenty of excellent tyres to suit a particular course/condition, but to get the best choice you would need a truckful of tyres.



    Maxxis minions, Kenda nevagal; bontrager big earl's; Schwalbe Racing Ralph's are all rated pretty good, some beter than others in certain conditions.

    The answer is Maxxis High Rollers 2.1 for general riding and Bontrager Mud X 2.0 for the winter, ok [;)]
