What it has cost so far....(excluding race entry)

  • It costs so much to do this sport. It does so easliy spiral out of control. I find myself on ebay buying rubbish that for some reason I think will make a difference, but it rarely makes any difference

    Bike-free as it was a present (extra kit on bike this year i.e shoes,bars and two new tires and service €400)

    It seems to get a bit cheaper each year as you accumulate kit...

    and i see yer all working in pounds-ouch!

    First bike - Giant SCR3 from Wiggle €500.00 (I though that would be it !!)

    Second Bike - Dolan Aria TT Bike €1700.00 - full Ultegra / Profile Aero bars bla bla

    FSA RD600 Wheel set €360.00 off ebay USA - bargain of the year !!

    tri suits x 2 - €150.00

    Running shirts - €100.00 (at least)

    Running shorts - €100.00 (at least)

    bike computer - €50.00

    Gym membership €600.00 per year

    Wet Suit 1 - €150.00 too big sold for €80.00

    Wet Suit 2 - €260.00 well at least its a good fit

    Training shoes - €80.00 per pair (I have at 6 pairs - why I don't know, I just do)

    Bike SHoes - €100.00 (half price on wiggle)

    Swim shorts - €15.00 per pair (again have loads - I just buy them)
