to eat or what to eat?

i'm starting out at Triathlons from reasonable fitness level, but seem to be struggling to get the feeding right. My training is generally rolled into the daily commute, i either cycle or run the route in and out each day. Swimming gets added on to a couple of days. Therefore i am training 2+ times a day for 30-60 minutes each time (about 1000 KCal per day). do i eat straight after each run/ride? if so then what?



Furthermore i'm still stuggling with a beer belt that is going to look pretty damn stupid in a tri suit!!!



Any advice is more than welcome so i can get a handle on the numerous articles out there about this.

    Wooly i have the same problem, i try to eat after each session then snack in between. the result though is days when my eating is all over the shop or im either taking in too much or too little
