Swim Question

I am trying a swim program from www.beginnertriathlete.com and am not sure what the codes mean - can anybody help?

Warm-up # 3...................500 yds

5 x 100’s sw -15" bet. ea. .500 yds

10 x 50’s k-15"rest bet......500 yds

250 swim down real easy ..250 yds

Total .........................1750 yds

what does the 'sw' after 100's and the 'k' after 50's mean? I am sure it is something really simple and I kick myself once I find out ....

    Hi just2tri

I would assume this plan means

Convert yards to Meters firstly unless you are swimming in Victorian Baths

    1. Warm up - swim an easy 500m

    2. Swim 5 x 100m with 15 seconds rest between each 100m

    3. Swim 10 x 50m with 15 seconds rest between each 50m

    4. Cooldown swim - easy 250m

    Total Swim distance 1750m

I cant help with the sw or k I'm affraid

I think "sw" will mean "swim full stroke of your choice" and "k" will be "kick, using a float". Probably.
