Performance variance stationary bike vs road

I started to use a stationary bike in addition to road cycling to do some speedwork. Completed my first session last night and was surpised that my speed/distance was way more than what I would do on the road. Agree that there is no rolling resistance, wind & weather on a stationary bike, but the bike computer showed 20k cycled in 31 minutes - on the road, it would take me nearly 40 minutes.

Is the stationary bike, one at a gym,if so try one of the others, the calibration could be wrong. If it is a turbo trainer you are using it could be the pressure of the wheel against the trainer that is slightly out.It is nothing to get bothered about ,just use that 31 mins as a base point to measure your fitness.
