"stroke reduced to death"

Ok so rather than hijacking md6's thread.

I learnt FC by TI and am now having problems getting the speed and stroke rate up - I'm told this is a common problem for people who used TI and to do with the very long stroke and large rotation etc.

What do I do about it? At the moment I do interval sessions and work on improving my pull through the water which is very lazy - it's amazing how much quicker you go if you actually push against the water!

Allow me to quote from Mr Laughlin:

"It's possible to get too carried away with this business of eliminating strokes when you're down to such a triumphantly tiny number of strokes that you're taking forever to get to the other end".

He then goes on to introduce swimming golf as an exercise to remedy this.

Thank you - I was hoping that you might come up with something that didn't involve so much counting!

I have got soooooo many things to work on with bike and swim that I've no idea where to start! Concentrate on one thing and keep the rest ticking over or what - oh well lots to learn still. No panicking would be a start
