This guy told me yestertday that maybe I had a cold coming on because I did a slow bike at an elevated heart rate on Saturday.

This morning I wake up with nose blocked, no functional taste buds and general sense of dizziness.

I've never been so glad to have caught a cold!

    swine flu - the thought had crossed my mind alright!

    I probably only picked up the bug on Sunday, after the race, but if I can delude myself that my sluggish performance can be blamed on anything other than myself then I'm happy.
