Pump or Co2 on Ironman 70.3

Just wondering what people will plan to carry on the half ironman this weekend whether it is a pump or co2.
If it is Co2 how many canisters would you carry.

Just a little nervous about getting a couple of punctures and running out of air!!!!!

Two innertubes and 2 or 3 gas cans. If you have more than 2 punctures then the tri gods have it in for you anyway.

The law of sod, says carry 2 tubes, a kit, multiple canisters and a regular pump and you won't need any of it.

    However if you don't...

    On a HIM I carry:

    Spare tubular tyre
Tool kit made from an old 500ml water bottle containing: Pliers, multitool, cloth, valve adaptor (for my disc) Chain splitter tool, spare quick link for my chain, 2 x CO2 canistors, Co2 canistor regulator valve thing.

2 x Co2 canistors screwed into my behind the saddle carrier

Aero drinks bottle (sits between the tri bars and hold 1.25l)
500 or 750ml bottle of extra juice depending on temperature/weather
Top tube bag for my gels

    I think thats it???

That's taking maximising storage space too far!! Aero solution though.
  • And it would keep you sitting on the nose of the saddle...
