Swap for??

Ok, my running training has been suffering lately by achilles tendonitis and ITB, so been sticking to swim and cycle. Didnt run for 8-10 weeks and found that my running now is still ok.

So swimming and cycling helps the running and running dont help anything....anyone with similar experience?

    Cycling fitness transfers to running, but its the aerobic fitness and does not prepare you for the impact you receive when running. Forget to build slowly and you'll get injured again.

    Spot on.

    If at all possible, you should always be looking to go for a run directly off the bike.
