310XT pairing

Hi Folks,

I have been using a 310XT for 6 months or so now and really enjoying all the online features. However, my company recently updated my laptop and now the ANT Agent USB won't link. I have followed all the normal steps but when I insert the USB my laptop completely freezes, refusing to recognise the device or even allow me to look at task manager.

I have contacted Garmin but they have not been very helpful. My hunch is that either:

- ANT Agent will only link with one computer
- My new lap top is set up wrongly
- The USB has developed a glitch

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so is it fixable??

    No, but I have experienced the unhelpfulness of Garmin before.

    Is the laptop Windows 7? If so the ANT USB Driver it's trying to install might not be supported.

    No it's Windows XP. I'm working in Brunei just now, home on 14 March so I'll harrass the IT department then.
