Hi, I was in Plymouth Hooe last week and this afternoon. Yes it was cold. to the point of having red feet when I got out. it was managable though, after the first 400feet you kinda forget about the cold.

It must be time now to 'take the plunge!' now!
  • River swam in France last week and off to Heron lake this Saturday with a gang of like minded mental people.

Bring it - no boots, gloves or neoprene hat either. I'm gonna be cold.

Was in the sea this weekend in Bude and it was gorgeous...well a bit chilly but no where near as bad as I thought it would be!!

Swam at lakeside Multisports Eastleigh 2 weeks ago and the water was between 10 and 12 degrees - was actually warmer than it was walking to the lake. As said above after the first 400m it was fine anyway and actually quite nice
