Suggestions on raising aerobars
in General Chat
Hi all, has anyone got experience with getting more height under profile design aerobars extensions?
My setup is nothing special, T2 alloy base bar and extensions. Ive put a spacer under the pads to get the elbows up a bit, but need to go a bit higher.
So I spotted the aerobar bracket riser kit, which should lift the whole extension and pads up, but alas, no suppliers have any, so I bought the "universal riser kit" (an extra spacer for under pads and some bolts) but cant figure out how to attach the damn things. Profile customer service is ignoring me.
So anyway, any adivce on getting the extension bars up a bit more. More angle in my stem perhaps?
Thanks.

Have you thought of an adjustable stem, example http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... source=ppc
Im just a bit miffed with profile design for not having anything to make their own products more adjustable.
Hi, I have a Planet X Stealth (XL) and am 6ft6 so have found the front end too low. Replacing the stem with a steep angled one helped a lot and doesn't affect handling noticeably at all.
Hope this helps!
