Planet x or Tiger Frog

kurtkurt Posts: 18
It’s time to upgrade my Mavic CSL’s and my budget has narrowed the search down to either Planet X aero rims (82/101) or Tiger Frog aero rims (60/88).
Found plenty of reviews on the Planet X rims but not too much on the Tiger Frog rims so does anyone have experience of using Tiger Frog rims or know of any reviews on the web??

If you can wait a few weeks ( maybe 3 months) then get these :

    They are SUPERB wheels.

Can you elaborate please, why the flow wheels are SUPERB, have you received yours yet?

I've been following the launch and despatch lead times but still considering getting a set of these wheels but dont know anyone who has a set to get a balanced report.

    They are clincher only

Can't say anything about Tiger Frog

PX are v popular and well rated. I have a pair of PX R50s not to be confused with the standard 50s and they are very good, would recommend them now at £350

The new A-Series wheels are built using our 50mm deep aero alloy rim, which offers outstanding stiffness and value for money. To keep the weight down and responsiveness up we build the A3s with the outstanding Sapim Laser spokes, ensuring the wheels are suitable for racing and training.
  • I wouldn't touch tigerfrog. Cheap Chinese imports with terrible customer service. Stay well clear.

  • Just had a really bad experience with Tiger Frog and their customer service. Do not use them.
