Is there an actual triathlon season in the UK?

Just wondering if there was a season for triathlons in the UK?

I'm new to all this so don't know much about how the events are ogranised.

    If you are looking to just race in the UK,then the season is approximately,
    March,the season tentatively starts with pool based triathlons ,
    Depending on water temperature the open water season begins end of April/start of May,
    The open water season ends towards the end of September,with most pool based triathlons ending a month later.

    There are a couple of exceptions to the rule,depending on your mental stability.

    The Duathlon season runs over winter,and there are aquathlons as well.

    So racing throughout the tear is possible.

    Lists of events can be found on various websites such as the British Triathlon Federation and
    www.tri247.com
    look under the events banner.

    Also entries can be found on entrycentral.com
    some events have already opened so it may be worthwhile checking and planning your year now if you want to enter a particular event.
