Looking to plan my first middle distance this season anyone any suggestions for an introductory one?

Already had two seasons of Standard distances

    Vachery middle distance in Surrey

    Great race
    Spring fed lake ( incredibly clean)
    Closed roads for the bike
    Wicked run

    Depends on where you live - no good if your in Scotland !

    There are two half Ironmans in the Cotswolds area, one in June, one in August. Pan flat course apart from one short, sharp hill on the bike leg.

    I'm doing my first one this year, the Exmoor 70.3, might be worth a look although im told its mega hilly. RIP me
