A new race which is hopefully of interest -
We have a new middle distance set for the 21st August 2011. It will be pretty unique in that the 1.9km swim will be a single river length, mass start (with qualifying slots for the front 50), running through the city, which will be great for spectators etc as they can walk the full route or stand on the bridges and watch.
There will be on site camping, at a small donation cost to charity.
There should also be a hog roast!
The bike course is a single loop flat route on good roads, double backing past the start/finish giving spectators a good view point.
The run route is on tracks/towpaths and is a single loop, very flat (as everywhere in the Fens )
We're catering for up to 400 competitors. Chip timing, good goody bags and a good race, organized by thiathletes, ourselves.
The web is up and running now and entries are NOW OPEN
We've also been guaranteed no wind and a sunny day - yeah right!
