"crank" it up!

im thinking of upgrading my crankset but not sure whether to opt for an alloy like Duraace or a carbon like FSA / Stronglight. The carbons are lighter, but im a little concerned about the stiffness of them. Anyone got experience either way? PS im built like a stick, so stiffness may not be too much of an issue for me???
