Anyone entered Ironman Monaco 70.3?

I've entered this event and would like to know if anyone has any previous experience of the course? I can see from the cycling route that there are some serious hills (mountains) to climb, but would like to know how you found the roads. i.e. when decending the steep mountain, was it easy to retain speed (30-40 mph)? Or were there lots of hairpins causing the average descending speed to be significantly reduced?
Any other experiences would be appreciated.
