I did the early year one and I did it on a cheap and heavy MTB (guess that might have something to do with it??!)
If its muddy expect to work hard, steep hills and deep gullies on the bike made for some hairy moments.
The run is a walk in the park by comparison, but that bike....gives me shivers when I think about it.
Overall - go for it! Its an experience and will harden you up!
