I was looking at getting a 'pool mate' for use at the pool but now I'm thinking it would be of much more use to have something that worked in open-water.

Can anyone recommend anything that doesnt cost hundreds of pounds

I know the Timex Ironman Global Trainer does it but its way out of my price range
