way to go treefrog, maybe you can still get ready in time for theTour de France[;)]

  • Hour run trying to beat time in second half an hour. Is it wrong that I am posting a reply to myself?
  • bennybenny Posts: 1,314
posting to yourself isn't wrong, but I would recommend you see a doctor if it happens too much[:D].

Twisted my flaming ankle!!! Arrgghhhh!!! Swimming with a pull buoy or one legged kicking is all I can do. Scream- sorry have to have a moan to someone. My family thinks it's good as I'm forced to take a rest. They don't have an Olympic tri on 21st Jan to race!!!!

I know you guys understand so sorry for using this thread as a moan[:-][:-][:@][:@]

could be a kick start on that one leg bike ride of an hour though[:D]

Did a 1 mile swim at 5.30 AM, only 2 idiots in the pool( I was one of them, hooray)

Did the man-horse-bike, although it turned out that it was a man v bike as all the horses were recovering after a hunt on Saturday. It was a flat out event; 3 10km laps with a brutal hill and very fast flats. The cyclists did 3 laps and the runners did 1 3/4 lps. I finished 3rd behind a nother cyclist and just behind a runner. Tonight I did a fast 30 min in the pool
  • Started this morning with a 5.5km run in 30 mins and then weight training. Not bad thus far, oh and just had a 1 minute row off with a woman from the Team GB Rowing team and beat her by 20 metres (feeling very smug).

    Swimming later on (hopefully)

Starting to get all excited about next year now... just getting going on building up the volume from the maintenance schedule: was doing two of each discipline, now upping to three of each and building the distance. Feeling fantastic too.... 2:30 here I come for next year!

Recent training: Sunday steady swim 12 x 5 lengths off 2:15

    8km steady run yesterday

40 mins hard intervals on the bike this a.m., 2500m of violent swimming drills and speedwork with the class tonight.

    Loving it!
  • I have a cold! But brilliantly this is my rest week!! I know christmas is coming up, but I can't think of a better time to train as most people will be indoors. Also managed to do some core strength training with all the coughing.

    Yeah tritriagain,

this holiday season, with boring nothing to do but eating and feesting, is the ideal time for training. Actually, knowing that you are one of the very few people who have the spine to train these days, is quite a great motivator.

    Did a easy run today.

Tomorrow pool rendez-vous at 6 AM.

Everybody's fallen in a deep winter sleep??? Time to wake up!!!

Did a 1 mile swim this morning (with what we call in Belgium: 'a head of stone'; read the cr*p thread why). 1hour run in the afternoon
  • treefrogtreefrog Posts: 1,242
Just had to go public on this one, got up this (Christmas) morning a little bit mouldy following a few beers last night, then I went out for a run. I took a few wrong turns and got hopelessly lost and ended up doing 2 hours 37 minutes1 I burned up over 2000 calories so I'm going to enjoy my dinner with impunity. Happy Christmas to all and good luck in 2008
