Swimming off Fairbourne and Barmouth anyone?

Anyone got any experience of swimming off these coastal towns. Tourism bumph suggests it is great.

I'd recommend either - I live just outside Machynlleth and got a few sea swims in last year as part of my training.
Borth and Aberdyfi are also really good.
Aberdyfi is a nice place, as is Barmouth - plenty of nice places to relax afterwards.
The other two are still good but not quite as nice - at the risk of getting bombarded with insults I think the latter two are a bit more of your "typical seaside" resorts - if you know what I mean.
If you are planning a trip in this direction, it's worth checking out LLyn Tegid (Bala) they allow swimming at certain times - I'm sure they have a website.
