Assos every time I have the cash, 2XU are OK but seem to be going baggy in about 12 months of use (non continous).

For serious cycling and proper comfort remember the adage "cheap is dear". Go for Aessos, Gore bike wear or Rapha. All expensive but excellent quality and long lasting

There's a review in this week's Cycling Weekly. They were budget bib shorts that were on test, but the Specialized ones 'won' with 9 out of 10.

Pearl Izumi for me (in a girl way).
  • Hi, I struggled for a long time with saddle comfort during my training for Ironman UK. On a recommendation I invested in a pair of Assos F1 Mille bib shorts, cost a fortune (£126!) but I can tell you that they are simply wonderful.

In training up to and during the event I never even felt my bum.....if you know what I mean....! ...and you can't put a price on that!

    Si
