Exercise bike Vs Turbo trainer

I have a half decent exercise bike that I brought to assist my recovery from a serious knee injury last year. Would I again any benefit from putting in the hours on the exercise bike over the winter months – I don’t really have the money or space for a turbo trainer. Are there major advantage that the turbo trainer would give me that the exercise bike wouldn’t?? Is there any specific programs or things I could do on an exercise bike to boosts its effectiveness?

Turbo is better for the obvious reason that it gets your body trained to sitting and performing in your real bike position. This is why if you have a turbo dedicated bike or a Winter bike that you have it set up the same as your race bike
