I'm looking to ditch my mountain bike pedals and buy some road pedals.
On a budget, so I'm looking at either the Look Keo Classic or the Shimano R540 SPDs.
There seem to be some good deals to be had on both at http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk.
Looking for something that's easy to clip in and out off - although admit to being confused by the term 'clipless' used in the pedal blurb.[&:]
What do you reckon to them?

Pedals
You may be able to find them cheaper. Wiggle...
Clipless is a weird term as you do clip your feet into clipless pedals.
I believe it harks back to old pedals being termed clipped as you litterally slotted and clipped your feet into.

I tried some Time Impacts and the were almost impossible to get into - got the scars to prove it!

From what I can see the cleats for these are 3 holes. My shoes have 4.
Am I going to need new shoes as well as pedals?[&:]

Fell off a few times once in queue for a TT!!
I find that if i know i'm coming to a junction i'll unclip one foot in advance and that seems to help.
Re your shoes they look a bit snazzy - carbon soles too.
What make are they? Most will tell you what pedals/cleats they are compatible with?
Or try googling your shoes and that may tell you what pedal systems the match. Then see on here if anyone uses them?
