Ironman Entry Advice

Could anyone enlighten me regarding the entry requirements for Ironman New Zealand. I am looking to take part in 2010 as a massive fundraising effort. Can I just fill out my forms and send them off with a cheque for the entry fee or do I need to qualify before hand?



Im not aiming to set any records when I take part, I just want to raise a lot of money for Macmillan Cancer Support

    As you want to enter in 15 months time,you should be able to enter the day after the race next year.Some M dot events fill up in hours,Austria being a good example,also events like the UK one which changes its location leaves entries till later in the year.Pre qualification shouldn't happen,but send an e mail to the organisers to check.On line entries are either handled by the race itself or subcontracted to a larger company such as Active.com.Best of luck.
