Outdoor storage

Hi all,

Just wondering if anybody knows of any secure outdoor storage that could fit 2/3 bikes in it. Dont have a huge flat and the mrs is getting annoyed with the bike, and soon to be 2 bikes.

I have a private garden that cant get broken into so security should be ok. something that can be locked, and will keep the bikes secure from the elements.

  • Could go for something like this. Bit on the pricey side though...

    but don't have one yet.

The optional secuirty bracket (anka point) looks a bit flimsy. You can find stronger looking ones elsewhere for the same price / not much more.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who actually has one of these.

The Trimetals that Flavadave mentions is on offer at the moment of £399 until the end of November to Cycling weekly members. But will the lady of the house not let you hang the bikes on the wall as work of art.

If (judging by your other posts) your going to be spending £3000 - £3500 on a bike I wouldnt store it outside, if you REALLY have to, dont scrimp!! Get the best you can afford, have a look in Motorcycle News (MCN) it comes out every wednesday, in the back they have an advertising section, bits, services and storage etc. I would get a motorcycle mini garage, these are steel sheds that are very secure and not too large, fairly discreet. Dont get some half arsed greenhouse or garden shed, your bike wont last five minutes, bike theft is a massive buisness and high end bikes in outside storage are numero uno target.
  • New bike inside...old bike outside!! Wouldnt dream of putting the new dream machine outside.

Mrs wont let them on the wall!!!!!

What about this! The new and old bike in the bedroom and the mrs in a tent in the garden! If you are feeling really kind maybe a small shed!!!

    LOL!!!!!!

Seriously there are some secure garden storge boxes in B&Q and focus but you might need to remove the front wheel.

  • Just found this "Metal Storette" while leafing through my Jewson catalogue (3 up from the bottom).

That one has no floor, so susceptible to being lifted up to access the contents? Not likely but possible I guess if someone knew what was in it.

EDIT - might suit the OP though as his garden is secure.
