I have a diary full of good intentions so far. Still discussing with the swim club & mates which ones we're going to attack this year.

My list will/does at least include:

Eastleigh 10k (March, flat, fast but boring)

Dorchester, Salisbury, maybe Winchester sprint tri

    Bournemouth Oly, possibly???

Bournemouth pier-to-pier swim. Great fun, big team, 2k OW swim.

London Olympic (love the show, love the crowds, hate the travelling)

Southampton sprint, probably a big team event/laugh.

Brighton Oly, was entered this year but hip blew up. Will do in '09

New Forest 70.3 is my big target for '09.

Other 10k races as they occur. Probably need to do more on the bike, but don't have time to join a club.

Anyway, great time of year - sod the weather! Lots of base training and planning events! Easy, steady but still exciting!

Aiming to do my first IM this year in August following my "luck" in getting a place in the London Marathon.

UK 70.3 in June with a few dotted in between for fun Thames Turbo and Eton Superspints in May and hopefully MK OD in July.

Bushy Park 5k's are also good for testing speed but would also recommend Richmond as it is only 10 minutes away (and much harder). For those who have never heard of them try www.parkrun.com for your local event.
