Weights traning and weight gain

Hi i have lifted my weight training and was wondering i should try and gain some lower body weight to help improve my power or should i just eat normally during this thase of tranining

    Power & weight operate at opposite ends of a scale..you want a high power to weight ratio, so weight gain could be counter productive..muscle gain has to be useful 'working' muscle not just thunder thighs.
