first ironman?

I see lots of people are doing there first ironman next year. I found this website almost 2 years ago, in fact reading it inspired me to enter my first ironman, so hopefully it will be of some help to someone out there!

    Nice one Jon_G, I've set my Ironman date as 2010, in the UK. This website will definately be of use to me.......This as well as some of the awesome videos on Youtube.

    hope you find it very inspiring! i didnt even consider being able to complete an ironman, even though i'd always wanted to, and then i stumbled across that site and i signed up within a week! that was ironman uk this year (2008). i was hoping to do it in under 11 hours, but i ended up with a severe ache in my left knee and i had to walk the whole marathon, but made it in under 13 hours which was my upper aim to complete in so i wasnt too disappointed. it's such a great experience, everyone should give it a go!
