Which training/winter tyre?

I was going to get the Michelin Krylion tyre as they seem very highy regarded, but everywhere seems to be out of stock at the moment.

What do people think of Conti Ultra Gators? Or can anyone recommend another tyre in the £15-25 range for training. Puncture resistance more important than speed, plus I rarely go cycling when it's raining heavily, so wet weather performance isn't so important either.

Thanks in advance!

Michelin pro 3 race are good, have great puncture resistance and are quite grippy, or can get the pro3 grip if youre after a proper winter tyre. Best place to look is ebay, as many ebay shops do good deals on pairs

I've got some Gator skins and have found them to be excellent (so far).

They're very grippy and I haven't had any punctures yet (fingers crossed) and I've been doing a fair bit of mileage.
