Locklaces are brilliant, they save you a ton of time in transition and are actually much more comfortable than normal laces, because they give you a bit more flex in the shoe, highly recommend them

I wondered if anyone could offer advice on laces, i have seen the elastic ones but would prefer to get all your advice......
Is the brand, pretty much any running/triathlon shop will have them
in transition and every time you run.
They're unreplacable when you do T2-training, bricks or Bike-Run-B-R-B-R-.... training!!!
They actually should fit better than normal laces, since the elasticity divides everything better.
Does this make sense??
Also there are different lacing pattern that you can use depending on foot dimensions, or support needed. Probably worth a google.
It all helps in transition![:D]

I think this is shown by the fact that I wear lock laces in the shoes which I only use in running races!
If only they were red![&o]
I use elastic laces in my racing trainers, but not in my ordinary gym ones.
A couple of posters have written that they feel their feet are moving around when they use elastic laces - perhaps this is an indication that your trainers are too wide?
You mean like this?

They compliment my attire nicely...
Although my logic maybe somewhat flawed:-
1. I’ve got a PB wearing them (although I’ve only done 1 Tri, a Sprint)
2. The next time I wear them I’ll get a new PB (tells you how bad the sprint time was!)
3. People normally see pink and run a mile.. clearing the way for me...
Pink is like red for beginners. Too much red in your first season will cause in injury. And don't even think about shaving your legs (just to bring back an older theme [:D])
However i've heard a lot about how good xtenex laces are and have got those to try.
Used by Frodeno when he took Gold.

Elastic/lock or even the ones with the knots in are great for your racing shoes… but don’t overuse them, in other words I would not use them in your training shoes, I have had problems with my ankles and the physio puts part of it down to the laces as they let the upper part of the shoe flex so much, its like cutting the roof of your car, makes the frame to flexi.
Great for racing though.
