cats eye mounting positions.

i had to remount my sensor. cant for the life remember how far down the forks the sensor was, or how far along the spoke the magnetic thingy should be.



any ideas?

    Hi, it shouldn't matter how far the sensor is - one revolution is one revolution no matter when the sensor is.



    On my computer there is a wheel size etting, thats all you shoul need.

  • for some reason i thought it mattered. like the closer to the hub, the quicker it rotates. giving a faster reading......

    It sometimes matters, depending on the quality of the sensor. The only reason is that if you have it really close to the hub or rim, it may be travelling too slow or fast for the sensor to pick up, but most modern ones are fine, even putting sensor in the QR. But as graham said above, it doesnt matter, your wheel always rotates once for one revolution no matter where on the wheel, the wheel just moves at different speeds
